Whatever direction politician leaders take the issues of terrorism and global warming, it is almost assured that they will polarize the public, enrich the well-connected, increase the authority of government, and do little to mitigate any so-called crisis.

We the Citizens of America need to return to the rule of law. Not just a law for the masses, no, we need to bring especially those we have elected into compliance with the Constitution - the law governing our government. They were elected for this purpose!

The real problem is power. Throughout the world, and throughout history, those who reach a level of power have often times abused it. Our politicians are no different. If we give them too much power, they'll abuse it.

The cozy relationships between lawmakers and lobbyists that embarrassed Congress and cost some their re-election haven't stopped the revolving door between Capitol Hill and the lobbying industry that seeks to influence legislation. Five of the 39 ex-lawmakers rejected by voters three months ago landed jobs at firms that seek to influence Congress.
